“Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.” (Proverbs 2:5-6)
Biblical scripture is the only true and accurate source of wisdom, because our God is the author of all information, knowledge and wisdom. To illustrate this fact I’ll use the Law of Information. This is an irrefutable natural law. Over simplified, it states that:
Information is transferred from one person or thing to another through code. (For instance, letters make words, words make sentences, sentences make paragraphs, etc.) Information can be passed by sound, touch, visual and other means, but it all starts with code.
The code must be understood by both parties. (A book written in Chinese is not information unless you understand written Chinese. You must be able to understand the code being used.)
True information is something that can be acted upon by the receiver of the information. (The author writes a recipe for cookies and you read it and follow the instructions and create the authors culinary treat.)
Information must have an author. (The writer of the book is the source of the information)
Again this is over simplified, but you can get the idea. I’m sharing this with you because I want you to understand DNA is also information. It consists of a 4 letter code (ATCG) in a double helix of vast compacted information. One gram of DNA has been reported to be capable of storing 700 terabytes of information (leveled out, 1 gram would cover your fingernail in a thin layer). In contrast the 26 million books stored electronically in the library of congress only take up 208 terabytes of information and are stored in banks of servers in a big room. God’s DNA code is vastly superior to our rudimentary binary computer code.
The code in DNA can be understood by all parts of the cell and the cell acts upon the information. Therefore, DNA must have an author. Please know that random chance, mutations, inorganic materials and Mother Nature have no intellect at all, and with no source of authorship from nature the only logical author of all information is the almighty, all-knowing God of the Bible.
God is the source of all DNA and DNA is the source of all life, so God is the source of all information. Without information you can’t have knowledge, and wisdom is the good and appropriate use of knowledge. God is the source of all wisdom.
Everything we learn or experience should be filtered through or reconciled with the Bible. If the information doesn’t reconcile with the Bible, it’s useless information. Trust the Bible as your primary source of information, knowledge and wisdom and you can’t go wrong.
