Psalm 83 War

“They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.” Psalm 83:4

The prophetic Psalm 83 war between Israel and the nations surrounding Israel (Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt and Gaza, and possibly Arabia) will occur. Some experts believe the war already happened back in 1948, but others believe that it’s a war that is still pending. Today I’ll share with you why I believe it is still pending.

Israel is still surrounded by nations on all of their borders that hate them. They are subject to rocket attacks, terror bombings, verbal, economic, political and other attacks. While they have an okay relationship with Jordan and Egypt, and Lebanon and Syria are in the midst of civil war, the battles could, at any moment, be directed towards Israel. If Israel is attacked and they retaliate, Israel’s alliances with Jordan and Egypt could dissolve quickly into war as these nations come to assist their Muslim brothers. Israel is not living in safety and they are surrounded by enemies.

Last week I wrote about the Gog and Magog war that cannot start until Israel is safe and living without fear. Israel has not yet achieved that security. Also, the list of nations that border Israel are conspicuously absent from the list of nations in the Gog and Magog war. In my opinion, some nations will not exist at the time of the Gog and Magog war. So, this is what I think is instore for the Middle East in the near future, per my understanding of Bible prophecy.

  1. The bordering nations surrounding Israel will develop a confederation against Israel. This could happen rapidly if Israel is attacked and they retaliate with the military ferocity that they are capable of – up to and including nuclear retaliation.

  2. The nations surrounding Israel will attack Israel, and Israel will not only decisively win, but will take massive tracts of land, pushing their territory to the far borders of the nations they are decisively conquering. Possibly with American and additional help, and the world will pause.

  3. Israel will solidify and fortify its new borders.

  4. Thousands of Jews worldwide will see this as a sign and start flocking to the new and improved Israel. They will start building homes and businesses, planting crops and building new lives.

  5. Israel will become one of the richest, if not the richest nation on earth.

  6. This will infuriate the Islamic world, and surrounding nations – Turkey, the Turkic nations and peoples, Iran, Sudan, Libya and others. It will take the prize of the Middle East out of the hands of the Russians that covet the oil and riches of the region.

  7. That is why this peace will be short lived, possibly less than a couple of years. Then the war of Gog and Magog will start.

I would love to see the original borders of Israel, promised by God to Abraham, established in my lifetime. It would be glorious! Christians will probably see the Psalm 83 war, but remember; we can be raptured off this earth before or after this war. I truly believe Christians could be snatched up in the rapture now, or just a few years from now. So look up, be watchful, for our rapture is imminent.
