New Age

[God] “Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them…”

Exodus 20:2-5

The New Age movement is a precursor to and advocate of a one world religion. It is based on idolatry and pantheism. It is steeped in Eastern religions, such as Hinduism and Taoism, and promotes a feel good religious experience. They advocate that we are our own gods and have no use for the God of the Bible. They are all about correct thinking, positive thinking, what you speak becomes your reality, universal tolerance and moral relativism. This New Age movement also welcomes all forms of occult practices, which the only true God, the God of the Bible, strictly forbids – Magic, Genesis 41:8; Sorcery, Exodus 22:18; Witchcraft, Deuteronomy 18:10; Casting spells, Consulting with spirits, Deuteronomy 18:11; Astrology, Isaiah 47:13 are all forbidden, because they open us up to demonic influence and possession. Now, please remember, that a born again, bible believing Christian, filled with the Holy Spirit, cannot be possessed by a demon.

So, you ask, “Why are you sharing this with Christians?” I’m sharing this, because the new Age movement has penetrated the church. Churches are opening up to eastern meditation, chanting mantras, and other techniques seeking an altered state of mind. This altered state of mind, whether induced by these techniques or through drugs or alcohol, opens you up to demonic suggestion and influence. 1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” So, are you going to invite the following to your church, because you advocate the practice of these individuals:

Christian psychics, NO!

Christian eastern style meditation, NO!

Christian channeling (Necromancy), NO!

Christian witches, NO!

Sozo Prayer (New Age Mysticism), NO!

And the list goes on – and all of these practices lead to a possible “feeling” of being closer to God, but it actually separates you from God, because God is Holy and will not tolerate occult practices by his people. If a practice results in an altered state of mind, and does not reconcile with the Holy Bible, then it should be rejected.

All of these New Age movement practices are leading toward a one world religion, one world currency, one world economy, one world government and a one world leader (the Anti-Christ). Do not fall into their traps. God loves borders and a variety of people groups. Why? Because when people get together like this, they ultimately decide that they don’t need God. They become their own gods, just like what happened at Babel (Genesis 10 & 11). They felt that they were the ultimate creature and power on earth and decided to disobey God’s command to be fruitful and fill the earth, so God confounded their languages and forced them to fill the earth.

Please also know that I only gave you a taste of the demonic influence out there. Case in point: do you know what the Freemasons, the Church of Satin, and the Mormons have in common? They practice almost identical rituals in their temples and churches, and none of these “secret” rituals are supported by the Bible. Christians, God tells us to be sober and vigilant. We must examine everything and only accept what reconciles with Biblical scripture.

All of these crazy things are foretold within Bible prophesy, and Bible prophesy is always 100% accurate, so are you going to believe the Holy and perfect God of the Bible, or demonic influenced New Age garbage? It’s your choice.
