Not My Cousin!

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:26

It is rare when I’m ashamed of my alma mater, the George Washington University, and those rare occasions always involve their liberalism or their obsession with evolution. This rare incidence of being ashamed of them is from an article in their GW magazine Summer 2017 edition. In the article, A Closer Cousin, they claimed that due to a new study of the musculature of the Bonobo, it is probably our closest ancestor. This theory is a ludicrous attempt to perpetuate the long standing fallacy that humans evolved from apes, which cannot be true, because evolution is theoretical non-sense.

The Bonobo is an ape that strongly resembles a chimpanzee, but is smaller and much more docile. They live in the Congo region of Africa and are an endangered species. They are not related to humans in any way. God created humanity in His image. We were created to look like Jesus, who was present from the beginning and is the creator of all things. See John 1:1-3. We are created in God’s image – God the Son.

The similarity in bonobo musculature (muscle structure) reveals a common designer, not evolution. God designed each creature specifically, but some are similar due to similar physical and physiologic needs, environments, social structure, etc. None of these things have anything to do with goo evolving into me or you. Evolution is a physical impossibility. I have addressed this fact in other Blogs on my website, so please read them for the science.

The original study from the April addition of Scientific Reports, located at: http://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-017-00548-3 The literature and diagrams clearly show great similarity in the two apes and quite a bit of dissimilar structures in the human. They are giving into flight-of-fancy and speculation as it pertains to this supposed ancestry.

We are not apes, we never were apes and there is still no evidence that has the scientific merit to make me change my mind. Especially when you consider that micro-evolution (life from non-living inorganic materials) is impossible. We are not related to Bonobo’s or any other ape. The supposed human family tree is a fraud and all knowledgeable scientists know this. Professor Richard Lewontin, a geneticist, is one of the world’s leaders in evolutionary biology. He wrote,

“Our willingness to accept scientific claims that are against common sense is the key to an understanding of the real struggle between science and the supernatural. We take the side of science in spite of the patent absurdity of some of its constructs, in spite of its failure to fulfill many of its extravagant promises of health and life, in spite of the tolerance of the scientific community for unsubstantiated just-so stories, because we have a prior commitment, a commitment to materialism…Moreover, that materialism is absolute, for we cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door."

He doesn’t believe in evolution because he has science to back it up, he believes in evolution by faith and his assertion that “we” (the scientific community) “cannot allow a Divine Foot in the door.”

We were created in God’s image and for his purpose, according to Biblical scripture, operational science, the Law of Biogenesis, the Law of Entropy and the Law of Information. Natural Laws, scientific and common observation, and common sense prove that evolution is a lie and God created us for a very special purpose. We were created to serve Him and have a personal relationship with Him. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior today, before it is eternally too late.
