US Politics & Economy if the Rapture Occurs in 2018

Updated: Aug 7, 2023

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation."

Romans 13:1-2

The verses for today explain that all rulers are placed in their position for a specific reason by God in order to fulfill His divine will. Whether that ruler is to lead a nation into peace and prosperity or lead them to war or ruin is in God’s hands. As citizens of our nation, we are to follow the leadership of the powers that be. As Christians, the only reason that we should ever reject this commandment is if the laws or leadership of these rulers/politicians or judges are in direct violation of scripture. In that case, we are compelled to disobey.

The scripture and precepts that I just mentioned mean nothing to non-Christians. Each non-Christian follows their own heart, their own will, their own lusts, and desires. As in the days of Noah, “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Genesis 6:5. So, what will that look like after the rapture, if the rapture occurs in 2018?

Only God knows the hearts of men, but apparently, both President Trump and Vice-President Pence are Christians, and if Paul Ryan is a saved and born-again Catholic, the President and his first two successors will vanish in the rapture. All the other leadership in Washington that are born-again Christians would also vanish, “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” 1 Corinthians 15:52.

If Paul Ryan is a Catholic that has not placed his trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, then he would become the 46th President of the United States. This would play nicely into the hands of the current Pope, who is leading the world into the false, “One World Religion.” This is the belief that all religions are equally true, also known as the “New Age Movement.” This would lead to a new religion that would leave everyone lost and hell bound. I pray that Mr. Speaker Ryan is saved and heaven bound. If he does vanish in the rapture with the President and Vice-President, what will that look like?

This would leave the Mormon, Orin Hatch the successor and he would be the 46th President of the United States. The people of this nation would lose their primary source of moral compass as the Christians leave and would have a completely new source of moral leadership from a Mormon perspective. The Mormon Church has re-defined many Christian terms and therefore does not believe as Christians believe. This leadership would, in my opinion, lead our nation into increased spiritual confusion and moral depravity. The disappearance of our Christian workforce would adversely affect our economy. The changes in leadership and the scrambling to fill vacant key government positions would adversely affect our economy. More importantly, this would leave the nation wide open to the belief that Aliens from outer space took all the Christians away. In my opinion, the Mormon belief system would readily accept this as a viable probability, and the worldwide platform of the US Presidency would allow Mr. Hatch to spread these lies. Not that he would be lying intentionally, but out of false beliefs.

Quite frankly, the US economy may permanently fail – not right away, but I believe it would rapidly fail. Define rapidly – weeks, months but probably in less than three years, in my opinion. This would also cascade into other nations’ economies failing because many nations depend on our economy. Global markets would be adversely affected creating an economic vacuum that could topple governments and lead to anarchy, riots, and many of the various tragic things that the Bible says will happen in the tribulation. The anarchy, governments failing, wars, and natural disasters, as prophesied by the Bible, will plunge the US and the world into chaos. This is the point when the Antichrist steps in to save the day, but in reality, only provides a fleeting respite before he crushes the world under his boot heal.

Christians should not fear this, because we will be gone, snatched up to meet Jesus and follow Him into Heaven. It’s the non-Christians that should be quivering in stark terror at this message. A type of hell on earth is coming that will make all the natural disasters, wars, terror attacks, riots, diseases, and horror that have happened in the past look like a sunny day in the park. I don’t know when, no one knows when, but it could happen this year – all the signs are pointing towards the soon return of Jesus, and then soon after that, the tribulation. Don’t be left behind.

This is why Christians should be desperately seeking lost people and telling them about Jesus – sharing the gospel with anyone that will listen. We need to keep as many people out of the tribulation as possible. The only way to do that is to share the gospel and hope that they accept it. Then they will leave with us in the rapture and be spared from the tribulation. Pray for the lost – seek out the lost – share the gospel with the lost, before it’s eternally too late.
