The population of this earth God created is vast. There are over 7.84 billion people on earth, according to the Worldometer population clock. Also, there are supposedly some 2.52 billion Christians. I believe that number to be off by at least 1 to 1.5 billion, but that’s just my opinion. I do not think that 2.25 billion people are heaven-bound. I hope I’m wrong, but the doctrines and theology of many are sorely lacking or too worldly. We are to live in this world, not conform to this world. We are to be sanctified, in other words, separated out in service to our Lord Jesus. That said, let me share with you what is necessary to not only be redeemed, justified, but also sanctified.
Population and Christianity Relating to Redemption
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21
Many have a knowledge of God but have not given themselves over to His leadership – His Lordship. For redemption, you must believe the Lord Jesus is the Son of God, God, and your Savior. The belief must be present before accepting Christ as your Savior. Without belief, there is no redemption because if you don’t believe that Christ willingly laid down his life for you, you cannot be bought back or redeemed. You must believe in Christ’s willing sacrifice that paid all your sin debt, or you are eternally lost. “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:” Romans 3:24
Many who profess to be Christians are not truly Christian because of their disbelief – rendering them without redemption. Again, I hope I’m wrong, but as you talk to people and hear their beliefs, you can gain a perspective of their understanding of Christianity. This lack of understanding will keep some out of heaven. That’s why I’m trying to share the true path.
Population and Christianity Relating to Justification
All of what I just said about redemption also applies to justification. It’s a matter of believing and believing the right things. Merely believing in God or Jesus is not sufficient to be justified, in other words, pronounced “not guilty” by God. The formula is simple. You must believe:
God Loves You!
All people, including you, are sinners in need of a Savior.
All may be saved, without regard to how much they have sinned.
The only way to heaven is to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior.
You pray a prayer to God attesting to these beliefs, and God pronounces you not guilty of all your sins. But how many people that profess they are Christians have actually followed this formula? I think – not as many as expected.
Population and Christianity Relating to Sanctification
All of these are granted to you when you accept Christ as your Savior – Redemption, Justification, and Sanctification. But sanctification is a little different. Redemption and justification are one-time occurrences. While sanctification is also instantly granted, it begins a life long quest to grow in the lord and daily further separating your thoughts and actions from a secular worldview to a Christian worldview. You read and study scripture daily. You also endeavor to become more like Christ every day. But be careful. Many today think of Christ as a fluffy, cuddly kitten filled with nothing but love and tolerance. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Jesus is the God that is the embodiment of love but will also return to earth after the tribulation and rule with a rod of iron. “And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.” Revelation 2:27 In other words, he will be the all-powerful King, and no one will be able to question His rule or change His mind. He will govern by the Word of God because He is the Word of God, God the Son, and the Sovereign Lord of everything and everyone. He will rule those that obey with love and kindness and rule the disobedient with instant justice according to His will alone – no trial, no jury, no presidents or congress, no oversight by humanity, but a true monarchy. His word is absolute law.
Those that think of Jesus as a fluffy, cuddly kitten filled with nothing but love and tolerance, and fail to obey Him today, will have a rude awakening when He starts His one-thousand-year reign. So, I think some of those that think of Jesus in this cuddly kitten manner but fail to understand the full counsel of scripture may be left behind in the rapture.
Population and Christianity Final Thoughts
Even if only 1 to 1.5 Billion people vanish from the earth in the rapture, the results will be devastating, especially since many of those that are true Christians hold vital roles in government, industry, healthcare, and many other areas of life. The ensuing chaos will accelerate all the crazy stuff that’s happening today. Namely, increased control of people, attempts to decrease the population, wars, diseases, monitoring of people, reduction of civil rights, increased poverty, confiscation of private property, confiscation of bank accounts and assets for redistribution, and more. This control will end in the antichrist emerging as the world ruler, making most people equally poor and the elite minority mind-blowingly rich.
To avoid all the craziness I just mentioned, you need to follow Jesus. Accept Him today! Then when the rapture of the Church happens, you’ll be caught up to meet Jesus and will be escorted into heaven. It may get a little crazier on earth before then, so be ready. Don’t delay! Today you can be Redeemed, Justified, and Sanctified through the free gift of salvation. Trust and believe today! Then you, too, can help reduce the world’s population by being raptured out of this crazy world. Let’s try to get the number of those raptured equal to the number professing to be Christians. Better yet, let’s exceed that number!!!
