Today I’ll provide a brief explanation of how Satanism Defiles Christianity. It may sound completely bizarre to you. You might ask, “How can Christianity have anything to do with Satanism?” The answer is more complicated than just, “They have nothing to do with each other.” The problem is that Satanism has infiltrated churches disguised as secular psychology, self-help rhetoric, positive thinking ideations, and pride. So, buckle up, and let’s go through each of these to their inevitable conclusion. But first, let’s define Satanism.
What is Satanism
It is the worship of the fallen angel Lucifer. According to scripture, this Lucifer is the angel that stated that he wanted to be god and be worshiped as a god. In Isaiah 14:12-14, the Bible says, “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” Satanist’s worship this fallen angel because they enjoy Satan’s philosophy. The first law of Satanism is, “Do as thou will.” In other words, do whatever you want and have no concerns about consequences.
Satanism is a very self-gratifying religion that focuses on the will of each individual as opposed to God’s will. When Satan tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden, his primary focus was that Eve could be “like God” and know the difference between good and evil. Enlightenment and special knowledge were the bait, and being “like God” was akin to setting the hook.
Satanism Defiles Christianity – Secular Psychology
Secular psychology started infiltrating the church a few centuries ago, beginning in the 1800s and proceeding until today. Rock-solid churches trusted the knowledge and wisdom of God through Noah, Moses, David, Solomon, Paul, Peter, and the prophets and apostles. But more “progressive” churches welcomed the wisdom of mankind in the form of experimental psychotherapy. Much of this psychotherapy has been proven wrong, and even today, these therapies are continually morphing into new therapies as new theories and ideas emerge. I’ve said all that to bring you back to the truth. God’s wisdom is vastly superior to human wisdom, and God’s wisdom never changes!
Satanism Defiles Christianity – Self Help Rhetoric
Self-help “Experts” have used modern psychology and advertising techniques to earn prophet and “help people.” In the short term, some people have been helped, but many more were not helped. At the center of this self-help, self-motivation, self-esteem-driven system is “self.” The Bible clearly says that we are to esteem others before ourselves. These self-help Gurus would rebut, “You can’t love others until you love yourself first.” But nothing can be further from the truth. Philippians 2:3 says, “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.” Again, God’s wisdom is superior and unchanging, so don’t follow the latest and greatest self-help Guru. Seek God’s will and His Wisdom.
Satanism Defiles Christianity – Positive Thinking
God wants us to think positively. He says for us to not worry about anything and trust in Him. But He also promises that Christians will have tribulations. He also promises us persecution. But God says, don’t worry because regardless of what happens to you during this life, you’ll have a much better place to go afterward. Heaven awaits us. Unfortunately, the positive thinking crowd thinks we can manipulate our environment by the power of our positive thinking. Some even believe we can command or control God through our positive thoughts and prayers. Please understand that God is entirely sovereign. No one commands God, and He never changes or defers to human demands. God is in complete control. So, is positive thinking a bad thing? Not necessarily, unless that positive thinking is in direct opposition to God’s Holy Word.
Satanism Defiles Christianity – Pride
God hates pride. Proverbs 16:18 says, “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” In other words, pride will destroy your life. Proverbs 11:2 says, “When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.” So, if you consider yourself superior, you end up humiliating yourself, but if you humble yourself to God and trust in God’s wisdom, you’ll be much better off. Pride is what got Satan cast out of heaven. Pride is a recurring theme in scripture, and it NEVER turns out well for those full of pride. So, don’t be arrogant or prideful because it opposes God’s will.
Satanism in Churches
So, let’s gather all this together. If you are in a church that uses secular psychology to minister to the congregation, run! If your preacher sounds more like a self-help Guru than a preacher of God’s Holy Word, run! Furthermore, if you are in a church that thinks you can manipulate outcomes through the power of positive thinking, Run!! That’s what Witchcraft preaches!! If you are in a church that teaches you to be proud of yourself to the point that your thoughts and ideas are equal to or better than scripture, STOP!
The only verifiable truth is God’s truth. The only wisdom that is worth anything is God’s wisdom. So, if your church is preaching secular psychiatry, self-help, self-esteem, self-worth, positive thinking outside of God’s will and wisdom, RUN!!! Find another church because they are preaching the precepts of Satanism from the pulpit. They may not believe it, realize it, or admit it, but your pastor or teacher is preaching Satanism. If you disagree, prove me wrong by using scripture to back up your assertions. Have a blessed day!
