How can I boldly say that there are only two religions? From Learn Religions, Mary Fairchild says, "The number exceeds four thousand."[1] So, how can I say there are only two religions? I'm not talking about religious systems; I'm talking about religious outcomes. Outcomes are the results of your beliefs. Many religions believe in a type of heaven or multiple types. Other religions preach obliteration or merging with the universe. Religion also has various degrees of morality, from piety to literally doing anything you desire without consequences. Let's explore religion from the viewpoint of outcomes and morality.
Religion Defined
"Any system of faith and worship."[2] Any belief system consists of believing in a superior power or powers governing the world and worshiping such power or powers. This definition would include recognizable religions like Christianity, Catholicism, Islam, etc., and other belief systems like Neo-Darwinism, or faith and worship of science.
There Are Only Two Religions: Outcomes and Morality
So, what are the two religions I'm talking about? They are Biblical Christianity and Satanism. Please understand that Biblical Christianity is based on the Bible alone as the source of all Christian doctrine and theology. The outcome is a relationship with God and an eternity in heaven. If you add anything or subtract anything from the Bible, you step into the realm of Satanism. John 8:44 says that Satan is a liar and is the father of lies. Any belief system that is not based on the Bible alone is a corrupted system. This truth would include religious systems that profess to be Christian but cannot be because they use outside sources for doctrine and theology.
Satanism is a little more straightforward. "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law."[3] In other words, you can do whatever you want without remorse, repentance, or shame. A society dedicated to this tenant would swiftly plummet into sinful behavior and chaos. Everyone would have their own rules, and no one could dispute them because each person, according to them, has the right to think and act as they see fit. If this sounds familiar, you're right; look around at our modern society and children under the age of twenty, and you see the results of this chaos. The final outcome will be an eternity in hell, forever separated from God, family, friends, pleasure, and eternally burning while never being consumed by the flames.
Two Religions and Their Relationship to Pride
I'm a proud Christian, but I take no pride in myself. I have pride in the finished work of Christ on the cross. Only He is worthy of pride, honor, and glory, so my pride is in Christ alone. Christianity is based on grace alone through our faith in Christ alone for salvation. Grace is defined as unwarranted favor. We are sinners and do not deserve grace. Yet God created a way to reconcile us to him through Christ. No human can enter heaven unless they have been Redeemed, Justified, and Sanctified by our faith in Christ alone for our salvation. So, Christ must render us perfect in the sight of God through His atoning substitutionary sacrifice.
All other religious systems rely on performing tasks, rituals, religious rights, pilgrimages, and other works to earn salvation – the salvation specific to each religious practice. In these spiritual practices, they try to balance their good and evil acts so that the good outweighs the evil. But this leads to pride, which the God of the Bible hates. Satan's pride led him to say, "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High." Isaiah 14:13-14.
Having pride in yourself believing that you can work your way into heaven, is Satanic. All religions except Biblical Christianity believe you are the creator, master, and sustainer of your beliefs, works, salvation, and prosperity. According to God, as written in the Bible, this pride in yourself is Satanic.
There Are Only Two Religions
I'm sure I've stepped on some toes today. The fact that there are only two religions will make people angry. They'll say, so Islam is Satanic, Hinduism is Satanic, even the Church of Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Satanic? And my answer is a resounding yes! Well, what about Catholicism? Yes, much of what Catholicism teaches is Satanic. They pray to God through saints and Mary and sell graven images. They are steeped in rituals that cannot be found in scripture, so yes, they fall into the category of Satanic. Any extrabiblical anything is Satanic because it relies on the thoughts and ideas of sinful humans as prompted, coaxed, or manipulated by Satan. Remember, man's way is Satan's way because it is not God's way.
The Bible teaches us everything God wants us to know. The Bible reveals what God wants us to do and not do. The Bible should be the only source for our religious practices, beliefs, and actions. It should govern our lives through our willing and desired thirst for the knowledge and wisdom of God. We should read and study the Bible to know God's will in our lives. And be ready to defend and share our faith with anyone who listens. 1 Peter 3:15 says, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:" I know that the truth will be painful to many and kindle their anger. But I must tell the truth. If you are not a Biblical Christian, you will always be a servant of Satan. Therefore, there are only two religions: Biblical Christianity and Satanism.
Biblical Christianity
The exclusivity of Biblical Christianity is what people hate the most about Christianity. Christians are hated, and their religion is offensive to all non-Christians. All belief systems are against Biblical Christianity, and with good reason. It exposes their trust in themselves for salvation. Their works and deeds will set them free. No, that's a lie of Satan, who is focused on your demise and making sure you are eternally separated from God. Don't let Satan win in your life. Choose Biblical Christianity! Jesus said, "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." John 15:18-19. Choose Biblical Christianity! Everyone, including Satan, will hate you, but God will love, redeem, justify, sanctify, and welcome you into heaven! Amen!!
